Great Exchange

Sometimes we think-back to former days with a sense of loss and longing' and, yes sweet can be the memories of times past. Other things, however, we do not long for ... hanging out clothes on a clothes line, open windows instead of air conditioning, using a map instead of a GPS. Paul wrote, "Thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were committed, and having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness." (Romans 6:17-18 NASB). The fullness of joy belonging to the children of God should be something in which we rejoice. Never again must we fall-back into bindings of sin. In Christ Jesus we have exchanged the dregs of our sinfulness for the robes of God's righteousness: "For our sake [God] made [Jesus] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in [Jesus] we might become the righteousness of God." (2 Corinthians 5:21 ESV). Praise be to God for the ... great exchange.
