Feathered

Feathers have their rightful place, and it is not the kitchen drain! Between duck and dove hunts, there was a time when it seemed feathers were abundant here. Do you sometimes feel featherless in this life?  I once saw a naked chicken; it was a rather sad sight. God doesn't intend for His Children to feel helpless or vulnerable.  Truth is, however, we are easily flustered and fearful in the face of real life.  Such times call for more than a long leisurely tub bath or quiet few moments to regroup.  God is The Calm in the midst of chaos: "He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find Refuge." (Psalm 91:4)  In Him is safe harbor and protective cleft free of troublesome cares; there is perfect & lasting solace.  Lay aside your dread for the day - face it completely feathered!​
