The Right Path

Former major league baseball catcher, Yogi Berra, was known his "Yogi-isms" - one-liners like "it ain't over till it's over" and "never answer an anonymous letter." His most famous one, however, is "when you come to a fork in the road, take it." That one is more true than funny! True, because when you come to a fork in the road, you must take it, you must go one way or the other: it's called a choice. There are many paths to be chosen in this life: one full of continuous fun and frolic ... one centered primarily on personal gain, happiness, success ... yet another convinced this life is it so see, feel, taste, experience it all. So many choices, and each choice demands a decision; what then is the true path of life, and who is qualified to even answer this question? The psalmist wrote, "You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore." (Psalm 16:11). Perhaps you are at a "fork in the road" or the path you're on isn't quite like you expected. Those "forks in the road" just keep presenting themselves, and it's never too late to choose wisely - to choose the Godly path. That is, the true path of life, the path of His Presence, the path of complete joy, the path that leads to eternal pleasures. Yeah, that's the wise choice, the right choice ... the right path.
