Put Off - Put On: Discontent

Who thought up the idea of the famous “Wish Book?”  Don’t you think it had to be someone who knew how human nature is always wishing for something more!  Just where IS that wishing well of the spirit and soul?  It never sleeps ‘cause we’re ever wishing, wanting, dreaming, searching, longing, reaching for that next latest-greatest-coolest person-place-thing.  Only God fulfills our dreams ‘cause He’s the One Who created us.  Hebrews 13:5 says, “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’”  No, having money isn’t bad, but loving it more than God Who “never leaves or forsakes” is!  Contentment comes when we find our satisfaction comes only in Jesus Christ.  PUT OFF discontent and PUT ON contentment!
