Greatest Love

The end of things has been heavy upon me the last few weeks. While the end may bring sadness, others bring joy.  Hebrews 1 is a masterful call to worship; Verse 12 includes this delightful statement, “But You are the same, and Your years will have no end.”  Unchanging and unending are two attributes contrary to where we live.  Throughout the course of one day, it is baffling to consider the destructive effects of sin upon this world. The edges of the beautiful yellow rose on my kitchen counter have begun to turn brown, and its petals begun to droop; imagine a world where even flowers do not die.  Someday, those who love and honor Christ now – in this age of ends and changes – will delightfully share in the Kingdom of the Unchanging and Unending One. For sure, there is much [here] I hold dear, but the Dearest One is there – Him Whom my soul loves (Song of Solomon 3:4).  Is your greatest love the Unchanging and Unending?
