Unnumbered Days
Have you ever thought about how we number things: streets and highways, store aisles, shoe and shirt sizes, even people are numbered! The word "ever" occurs some 476 times in Scripture, and it means "the perpetuity of time, an unbroken age." I'm not sure us "finite" beings can grasp the concept of "forever." Psalm 139:16 says, "Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in Your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them." Don't you find it mind-boggling The Creator knew us before we were known! It's hard to imagine, but one day time will cease. In light of eternity (forever), the relevancy of time won't be relevant. In the Apostle Peter's words, "to God be glory now and forever." (2 Peter 3:18). We have no understanding of a time when there is no time. The only thing going on will be endless-ness, timeless-ness, unceasing-ness of praise. Each moment will be dedicated to worship of The Lamb Who paid our sin debt. And, don't think for one minute you will become bored in such timeless worship. The Redeemed will have eyes only for Him and their voices assigned no other Song. Make sure you are prepared and ready for those unnumbered days!
