No Chances

With a fountain drink and a hot cappuccino in hand, I waited [patiently] behind a customer who was buying lottery tickets. Now, this isn’t about playing the lottery, rather this profound truth: in the life of a Believer, there’s no such thing as “chance.” God plainly says in His Word, “We know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28). This isn’t always easy-to-believe; actually, it’s often a tough pill to swallow! Honestly, it’s the “all things” that usually stumps us!  When circumstances turn sour and we have so many questions, there’s a calming-quiet in simply trusting God. “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” (Romans 15:13). Believe. Ultimately, we are influenced by and live according to what we truly believe. Let’s no live life by chance – pray for Grace to believe God is who He says He is and does what He says He’ll do. Take no chances!
