Wonders of God

How would you describe chocolate to someone who had no knowledge of or ever tasted it? In our attempt to describe it, we might find ourselves using the phrase "it's like." There truly are no words nor language to explain what is foreign or alien to us. Like chocolate, the best way to understand God is to experience Him. Scripture invites us "draw near to God and He will draw near to you" (James 4:8). How else would the psalmist know to write these words: "The LORD reigns, He is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed in majesty and armed with strength ... Your statues, LORD, stand firm, holiness adorns Your house for endless days." (Psalm 93:1, 5). The writer writes from experience! He chose to draw near to God and learn of His reign, His majesty and strength, His holiness.  How wonderful God gave words to man to describe who He is! Can you imagine life with never a taste or smell of a chocolate delicacy? Neither should we find ourselves alien to The Creator, our Father Who loves us so. Read God's Word and be introduced to the wonders of God.
