No Hesitation
Hesitation is an interesting consideration. When making a decision, a strategic pause may be the wisest first move. In contrast, even the slightest hesitancy can be life-threatening. God said, "Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring" (Proverbs 27:1, AMP). The Apostle Paul presented The Gospel to Felix (Roman Governor) and he responded: As he reasoned about righteousness and self-control and the coming judgment, Felix was alarmed and said, 'Go away for the present. When I get an opportunity I will summon you.'" (Acts 24:25, ESV). Scripture speaks of no further-later "opportunity" for Felix ... his hesitation may have resulted in a fatal cost to his soul. "Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the
best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be
foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is" (Ephesians 5:15-17, ESV). While good resources, clocks and calendars may hinder obedience to the voice of God in our lives, which always demands obedience ... without hesitation. Whatever our hand finds to do, let us do it with all our might (Ecclesiastes 9:10) and ... no hesitation!
