Trusting

Why are there so many questions and so few answers in life?  Over the years, my children have asked many questions like “Mom, if you have to get a perm in your hair every 3-4 months, why do they call it ‘permanent’?”  The boys even found a website full of unanswered questions: Why do they call what doctors do "practice?"  Why don't sheep shrink when it rains?  Why do we drive on parkways and park on driveways?  Why isn't there mouse-flavored cat food?  Why is there an expiration date on sour cream?  Good grief!

In His Word, God said, "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3)  No doubt, there’s many things in life to puzzle us, but how wonderful to know One Who is omnipotent (all-knowing)!  The Creator created all things thus holds all knowledge to the why’s, the why not’s, the when’s, and the what’s.  I'm glad God has all the answers, 'cause at times I barely understand the questions! Abundant peace and rest are found in The Father Who knows everything there is to know, as well as what is best for each of His children.  Perhaps you’re facing a crisis right now or struggling with an important decision, seek counsel from The Father then rest completely and peacefully in Him.  “’For I know the plans I have for you,’” declares the Lord, “’plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” (Jeremiah 29:11)  Trust Him – He Who keep all His promises, He Who cannot lie, He Who neither slumbers nor sleeps, He Who holds great and unsearchable things!
Trusting as the moments fly; Trusting as the days go by,
Trusting Him, whate'er befall; Trusting Jesus, that is all. (Hymn by Edgar Page Stites)
