On-Course

My Dad tells of Amos, the family mule, which was prone to be distracted and get off-track. This isn't just a mule trait! It's also common among Believers on the less traveled and narrow road of Godly living: truth is, we're prone to wander. God instructed Israel's new leader, Joshua: "Only be strong and and very courageous; be careful to do everything in accordance with the entire law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may prosper and be successful wherever you go." (Joshua 1:7). Pastor Tim reminded us a few weeks ago - on the narrow road of holiness, the ditches are closer so travel in wisdom and with diligence!  It's good to consider how tethered (bound) we are to Godly principles for living. God's words (Scripture) and the power of the Holy Spirit help us remain focused and not wander - like old Amos - to the right or the left. Stay on-course!
