Check Your Footing

Standing firm in the ocean is a tough-go. If you lose your footing from one wave, count on there being yet another one right behind it. There's barely time to recover! God's Word teaches us, "In the fear of The LORD there is strong confidence, and His children will have refuge. The fear of The LORD is a fountain of life, that one may avoid the snares of death." (Proverbs 14:26-27). The ever-shifting truth (aka lies) we hear from the world will always keep us trying to keep our balance in life. We see the obvious shelters of safety and protection crumbling around us each day. The strong and confident testimony of Believers is The Fountain of Life found only in Jesus Christ. The turbulence and crashing of life don't cease but the struggle to stand fast in-and-through it ceases when we stand firm on The Truth of God's Word and Its Author. We are wise to make sure on that which we stand -- check your footing!
