Do All with All
"What day is it?" is a pretty common question coming from Mister Bill. Since he retired, the days seem to run-together. Regardless of what day it is, every Believer should ask: what is my greatest task for this day? Jesus said, "Love The Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." (Matthew 22:37). Love Him with all you are - at all times, in all ways. "By remembering Him at all times ... By cultivating thankfulness for His many blessings and trusting His good providence ... By loving all whose lives intersect our own ... By choosing to serve rather than to be served, to be wounded rather than to wound ... By bearing patiently with the failings of others." (Every Moment Holy, Vol 1). A tall order but it pales in light of God's Love for us: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16). When Mister Bill and I look at the calendar to see the what-when-where for each day, we remember: "So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." (1 Corinthians 10:31). We love Him best when we do all with all.
