Most High Kindness

It's been said "life's too short - eat desert first." When it comes to strawberry shortcake, I totally agree! Of one thing I'm certain: life is too short to be unkind. Some may argue and deny it but there's no joy in unkindness for anyone involved. The Proverbs 31 woman "opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue" (V.26). Can you honestly think of anything more heart-warming than even a small gesture of kindness in this hateful and hostile world? Believers [then] mus be in the business of continually warming hearts! Let's be clear: Jesus commands us, "Love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of The Most High, for He is kind to the ungrateful and the evil." (Luke 6:35). The Puritan prayed, "Thou art preparing joy for me and me for joy." That joy comes when we obey Christ - yes, even as simple as being kind. You want to be kind like The Most High? Choose ... Most High kindness.
