Splendid Look

There seems to be an ever-changing "look" we humans are after. Whether it involves hair style or fashion, that "look" is always trendy. For the Child of God, there is a "look" that has Godly acceptance and it is not ... of this world. It is the the holiness of The Lord. "Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His Name; worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness." (Psalm 29:2). God's people - the Saints, those who love The Lord - are to walk in holiness, which gives Him what is due Him. We do that best when we live lives disciplined in obedience to God's teachings. His image-in-us marks us as magnificently different, and it's a distinctive look. It won't just be what we do and don't do; no, it is who we are ... heart-deep. A good look in the mirror each day is a good thing - but the look God's people should desire most is the holy splendor of Christ revealed in us - it's a ... splendid look.
