Sense of It

A fine mess – A little big – Almost done – A big sip – Climb down – False hope – Half true – Mighty weak – Once again – Restless sleep – Steel wool – Weak muscle – Second best – Random order … all things that [in true] just don’t make sense!

Christians know the highest joy, and we do well to tell our faces about it!  There’s no reason for those who know God and His boundless love to have [as Mama used to say] the mulligrubs.  A grumpy, ill-tempered Believer makes about as much sense as a “big sip” or a “weak muscle” or a “false hope.”  John, the beloved disciple, recorded Jesus’ words about The Father’s love for His Children: “As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.” (15:9)  What love is ours in Christ Jesus – “it enlarges the whole soul for the endless capacity of the love of God.” (E. B. Pusey).  What high joy His Love is – live life in the full sense of It!
