Keep On Behavin'

Murray Horwitz is famous for originating and co-writing the hit Broadway musical "Ain't Misbehavin' " based on the music of Fats Waller.  Murray knew all about "misbehavin'" because he started his career as a clown with the Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus, and we all know that mischievous and comical misbehavior is the mark of any good clown.  I always thought [perhaps] there were clowns-in-training at my house!

Our works have so much to do with our faith!  Of course, our works do not save us, but our works are a result of Who did! Ephesians 2:8-10 explains the relationship of faith to works: "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." Quite simply: both
faith and works mean a lot to God ... and to those watching us!  There is a huge connection to how we behave and what we truly believe. Others may conclude that there appears to be no difference in Believers who say [with their lips] they belong to Christ but never go to church, never read their Bible, and never pray, and the devil's crowd.  What we do -- how we behave, the choices we make -- show God and others what we believe to be Truth. Consider your behavior -- is there evidence of genuine faith in your life? Do your works make others think of Christ?  If so, behavin' is a way of life for you.  So ... just keep on behavin' !
