Have a Good Day
One of the last things I say to Mr. Bill each morning as he leaves the house is, “have a good day.” What really makes for a good day? Scripture says, “He that watereth shall be watered also himself.” This is not only the secret to a good day but an eternally prosperous day. The Godly principle is only as we’re poured out for Christ unto others are we genuinely enriched. “To get, we must give … to accumulate, we must scatter … to make ourselves happy, we must make others happy … in order to become spiritually vigorous, we must seek the spiritual good of others … in watering others, we are ourselves watered.” (Spurgeon). How absolutely dry and stagnant our lives are when we live unto ourselves – when we have forsaken “the Fountain of Living Waters” and carved for ourselves “broken cisterns that can hold no water.” (Jeremiah 2:13). Do you want to have a good day? Pray then for grace to lay your pipe closest to The Fountain and allow Him to water others through you. Yes, then, have a good day!
