Watchers

It's quite amusing how much my boys are like their Dad. Many of my past eye-rolling moments at Mr Bill's antics and shenanigans have played out in the boys' lives as ... well, amusements. It's actually very interesting how we learn from models put before us. Hebrews 12:1 says, "Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us." We are thankful for those [written about in Scripture] who triumphed in Godly faith - Enoch, Noah, Abraham & Sarah, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Rahab & Ruth, Esther, David. We forget perhaps there are those who are looking to us as models of Christian faith and perseverance. It is wise, therefore, every Believer consider his-her walk with Christ before others: "I urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called." (Ephesians 4:1, ESV). Always remember - there are watchers!
