Sound of Freedom

The word "freedom" strikes a happy note in us. It means we're free to do this or that or another. When God said, "it was for freedom that Christ set us free," (Galatians 5:1), do you ever wonder ... free to do what? Here's just a few reminders: Isaiah 43:2 - "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you." ... Isaiah 54:10 - "'For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, but My lovingkindness will not be removed from you, and My covenant of peace will not be shaken,'" says the LORD Who has compassion on you." There are countless freedoms found in God's Word! Charles Spurgeon refers to God's Word as the "Bank of Heaven," filled with God's endless promises of freedom for those who love and fear The Lord (Believers) ... "freedom from condemnation, freedom to the promises, freedom to the throne of grace, and at last freedom to enter heaven" (Spurgeon). Oh my-my ... freedom never sounded so good!
