Enough

What a madhouse town was this week! After four stops, we were finally seated for dinner - good thing because we'd just about had ... enough! Praise be to The Father -- Jesus is always enough! He was enough for the shepherds ... to leave their fields and see the Christ-Child. He was enough for the magi ... to leave their homes in search of The King. He was enough for Mary ... to be at peace giving birth in a stable then lying her child in a manger. He was enough for Joseph ... to obediently do as the angel said and honor his betrothed. He was enough for Elizabeth's joy ... as her own child leaped within her. John wrote, Jesus was with God and He was God (John 1:1). In Christ, God’s revealed Himself, which is enough for every longing heart. How comforting that Jesus is my Beloved – The One my soul loves (Song of Solomon 3:4). Jesus is my Beloved One and my Beloved One is mine (Song of Solomon 6:3). In a world that constantly shouts more-more-more, isn't it wonderful God knew what our hearts needed and those who receive Him rest quietly in Jesus. He is my Enough!
