The Work and Wait

Perhaps my to-do list today was a lesson in patience ... as I waited on my car for 4 hours instead of the anticipated 45 minutes and a lot less money! Ready – complete, finished; Jesus’ earthly
brother, James, wrote about this in his epistle to Jewish Believers scattered outside
Palestine:  “[But] let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting
nothing.” (James 1:4).  Like hard work and patience ends in work well-completed, steadfast endurance produces a work in us that is both pleasing to God.  A Godly work in us allows for no carelessness; there will be times of sanding-and-grinding the rough spots – that’s where letting (aka patiently enduring) while God works His best in us. Godly patience always brings about glorious results in the Believer’s life.  The Father's glory revealed in us is always well worth ... the work and the wait!
