Love Me

With the introduction and use of email, we learned email etiquette dictates words typed in ALL CAPS means you are yelling or screaming the words. There are many things in Scripture that should be in ALL CAPS to get through to Its readers.  Early, God told us to love Him with all our heart, soul and strength (Deuteronomy 6:5), and Jesus echoed the same during His ministry.  This love is to supersede all other loves even the things we hold so dear here on earth: "If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple." (Luke 14:26).  Of course, Jesus wasn't telling us to hate our loved ones, but His point was we are to LOVE HIM MORE than those dearest to us. The command is a call to separation; a separation from all other loves, even beyond understanding or reason.  Do you love God like that?  He says LOVE ME!
