Draw Near

Maintaining a safe distance between myself and the next person just doesn’t come natural. It’s like telling me not to smile – it’s a hard thing to do. Unfortunately, it does come natural for us to distance ourselves from The One Who loves us the most. “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” (James 4:8).  James says the first move is ours!  Believers must intentionally position themselves in heart, soul and mind to seek the Presence of God. In a world of so many attractions and distractions, we have to create environments where heart, soul and mind can settle-down and focus on God Himself and what-how He wants to speak to us. Now that many of us are home-bound and distanced from others, conditions are good to shorten that distance between ourselves and The One Who longs for our  company. Draw near!
