More Than You Know

One of the many great quotes from J. R. Tolkins' The Hobbit is Thorin's words to Bilbo: "There is more in you of good than you know." What a great line - one in which all Believers can rejoice. God said, "So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in Whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, in Whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit." (Ephesians 2:19-22). This great Good in us is Christ - the only reason to [as we say in the South] "feel your oats" - feel important, bold, empowered! Praise be to our Good God there is indeed way-more of good in us who call Him Father!
