Enjoy The Flow

A trickling of water rather than a good-steady flow isn’t always favorable – like taking a shower or rinsing dishes or washing the car. Moses said, “Dedicate yourselves today to the LORD” (Exodus 32:29). Without a second thought, we commit ourselves to myriads of things: aggravation, chaos, activity, anger, injury, worry, etc. Before we know it, we’re calling out to God for help-relief-rescue! Hymn writer, F. R. Havergal, wrote: “Take my life and let it be consecrated, Lord, to Thee – Take my moments and my days; let them flow in ceaseless praise.” The sweet fruit of a faithful devotion to the Lord is an [often unexpected] flow of peace in place of aggravation, calm in chaos, quiet in activity, gentleness in anger, health in injury, trust in worry and so much more! We do not have to settle for a trickle of Godly Joy; Christ’s Fullness of Joy is ours when we faithfully and diligently seek Him first always. Enjoy The Flow!
