Be That!

Parents appreciate the help of picture books to teach their children persons, places and things: trees, clouds, cows, firemen, etc. Mister Bill and I were glad when our Grands learned to recognize us then say the words "PopC" and "MomC." Sadly, there are adults who seem to never know who they are, and that not-knowing is exactly what Satan wants. Jesus came to eliminate the not-knowing, the wonder: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16). Ah, the sweetness of eternal salvation by grace through faith! Those born of The Holy Spirit (Believers) must remember, however, who we are and from what we have been rescued. It is sheer foolishness that Believers exhibit lives devoid of spiritual victory and vibrancy. "For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith." (Galatians 3:26). Because of Christ, this is who we are! We find ourselves in Him - We are who we are because of Him. Be encouraged, O Believer. With perfect confidence, know who you are then ... be that!
