The Door

Our house is so  far off the road it always seemed pointless to spend time decorating the front door.  It occurred to me one year, however, to put a spotlight on the door.  It made perfect sense: everyone can see light!

Can you image God making The Door unto His salvation any more inviting!  He marked the arrival of Jesus in Bethlehem with a great light (Matthew 2:2).

He sent those in darkness His Great Light (Matthew 4:16). He clothed His Son in clothes white as light (Matthew 17:2). The Prophet Isaiah proclaimed, “The people who walk in darkness will see a great light; those who live in a dark land, the light will shine on them.” Jesus Christ came as “ … the way, the truth, and the life.” ( John 14:6) The One-Way Door marked by The True Light -- you'll not see a better marked door this Season!
