Amazin' Praizin'

Being the center of attention is a joyful place for some people, but for others it is uncomfortable. Being in the spotlight is not where Mr. Bill likes to be: his facial features change -- his otherwise unnoticeable high cheekbones appear and his forehead turns a bit pink.  He doesn't particularly like being the subject of these devotionals either!

Aside from Christ Jesus Who is the Foundation of our faith, what is the center of abundant living for you?  What keeps you centered?  Some believe Psalm 117 to be the middle of the Bible: "Praise the LORD, all nations! Extol Him, all peoples! For great is His steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD! (ESV). Whether this short song is really the center of God's Word or not, it certainly should serve as the center of our daily focus.  One who is truly grateful cannot ALSO be negative.  One who is focused on the good cannot ALSO be focused on the bad.  One who is praising cannot ALSO be complaining.  There's a song titled, "It's Amazing What Praising Can Do."  Go ahead, have an amazin' day -- devote it to praizin'.
