You're A Saint!

You're A Saint. We are usually taught at an early age not to call people names - at least, unkind and disrespectful names. Of course, not all name-calling is bad. Mister Bill has several names he calls me; come to think of it, a few of them aren't so flattering! One of the most common New Testament names for Jesus' followers is "saints." In the NASB and KJV Bible translations, "saints" is used more than 60 times, and it's translated "holy people." Now, I realize when we hear someone called a "saint" these days it comes with a little sarcasm, for genuine Believers should welcome such a name - being called one of God's holy people! I suggest we care little about being called a saint and lots about why we are. You're a saint - ain't it wonderful! Miles of Smiles, Beverly
